Abstract

Pandak Village, located in Baturraden District, Banyumas Regency, possesses significant tourism potential. However, the optimization of this potential is hindered by several challenges, including the community's underdeveloped awareness of the tourism potential, limited promotion, inadequate accessibility, minimal facilities, and low levels of community participation. This research aims to develop an optimal tourism route in Pandak Village through a creative placemaking approach, named Telusur Desa, by actively engaging the community in the tourism development process. An optimal tourism route is defined as a route that can integrate the natural, cultural, and local traditional tourism potential of Pandak Village, considering the aspects of creative placemaking: vitality, diversity, inclusiveness, and value. The research methodology employed is a qualitative approach with creative placemaking stages, encompassing the identification of local potential and assets, community involvement in tourism development, the development of the Telusur Desa creative program, and the utilization of digital media for promotion and publication. The outcome of this research is an integrated tourism route design in Pandak Village, which includes seven destinations. This route can be covered by a 2.4 km walking tour in 36 minutes. The development of this tourism route is expected to create a systematic tourism journey structure and enhance tourist access to various destinations in Pandak Village
